Connecticut Tigers Break Single Game Attendance Record (8-31-12)
The Connecticut Tigers (Class A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers-NY-Penn League), broke their single game attendance record on Friday (Aug. 31) when 4223 fans came through the gates at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, CT to watch the Tigers beat the Lowell Spinners 2-1. The team host their second annual Norwich Navigators night (a tribute to the city's long defunct AA franchise.) The night concluded with the final post game fireworks display of the season. Friday's gate pushed Tigers 2012 season attendance to (54,341) with two home dates remaining. Saturday night's game with Lowell will feature a CT The Tiger (Tigers mascot) bobblehead giveaway to the first 1000 fans. Game time is 7:05.
